About

Name: Rue (she/they)
Age: First video game system was the Super Nintendo.

I'm a simple creature that, like many other folks in similar spaces, is just tired about the state of much of the internet and wanted to try carving out a small spot to call my own.

My hobbies include: video games, drawing, and baking. ... that said, I can't guarantee that I'll stick with any particular activity with regularity. This week might be spent maintaining a website, next month might be dedicated to trying out new recipes.

Like how tides succumb to the whim of the moon, you know how it is.

  • The various blog functions use Zonelets.
  • The code is haphazardly cobbled together from various tutorials, forum archives and other search results... but particular shoutout to W3Schools and sadgrl.online.
The graphics you see throughout the website are largely my own! The header banner and other little pixel graphics were drawn by me, as well as all the artwork in the Gallery... though naturally in the case of fanart I do not own the concepts or characters depicted. Photos and screenshots seen throughout Blog and Misc. are also taken of and via my own copies.

Notable asterisk for any Translations under Misc.: I may mirror images or text readily available online and will do my best to link back to the original sources in these cases.

Video Games I Enjoy

  • Final Fantasy XI
  • Final Fantasy XIV
  • Klonoa (series)
  • Little Tail Bronx (series)
  • Mad Rat Dead
  • Monster Hunter (series)
  • Sonic the Hedgehog (series)
  • Splatoon (series)
... and many more not listed! This is my main hobby, and the world is full of so many video games. There's a number of SNES, PS1 and PS2 titles that are very dear to my heart.

Other Media I enjoy

Unfortunately I can't say I'm into most other media!! I'm not a movie-goer and it's hard for me to sit through episodes of something. I'm also very picky about reading material. Despite this: Kazuya Minekura's Saiyuki series was extremely formative for me, as was Wild Adapter. Outside of those two, I still check in on Detective Conan (by Gosho Aoyama) and Blood Blockade Battlefront (by Yasuhiro Nightow) from time to time. Lately, I've been particularly smitten with ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. by Natsume Ono.

I did start keeping tabs on the Sonic the Hedgehog IDW comics too, they're pretty fun.
